ESSENTIALS TO COURSE MAINTENANCE
AGRONOMICS
Preventative chemical program including IPM monitoring.
Well thought out irrigation practices based off weather conditions and other variables.
Planned out aerification practices in conjunction with time of year and the member golf calendar.
Timely nutrient inputs based off knowledge and resources available such as tissue testing.
LEADERSHIP
A positive and vocal leader is essential in forming a well-rounded staff.
Mentoring interns, 2nd assistants, spray technicians, and seasonal staff improves overall morale long term. It also sets these individuals with a baseline for a successful career.
Training seasonal staff is essential to the success of overall aesthetics and conditions of a golf course. I take a great deal of pride in training every employee how to complete any task that is required.
Being able to train employees to complete a task in a timely manner is extremely important. This requires clear instructions and expectations that I set forth daily.
DETAIL ORIENTED
Every single detail matters. It is important to view the golf course through the eyes of the member/guest.
Daily consistency is extremely important. This can include green speed, firmness, and bunker maintenance.
The small details are what separate the good from the great. The skills I have developed in this critical area separate me from others.
